Steeped in history our modern 4-star hotel is located in the maritime heart of “Rum City” Flensburg. An ensemble of eight different buildings with individual retreats in the courtyard – a home port for business travellers but also for families and city travellers. The 69 rooms and apartments unite history, design and true hospitality.

Our restaurant Columbus, the Captains Lounge, our courtyard garden, our conferencing facilities and meeting rooms, as well as our wellness deck offer plenty of opportunities for an individually planned stay that meets the wishes of our guests.
Our hotel stands for first class service, tasteful interior design and a breathtaking view of the Flensburg Fjord.

Rooms Maritime charm and classy interior
The 69 different rooms and apartments reflect both the historical and maritime charm of the hotel. Thanks to the architectural diversity of the individual buildings our rooms all have fascinating characteristic features – no room is like the other. And the combination of the numerous windows, natural materials and light colours ensure a pleasant atmosphere.
All rooms non-smoking areas. They are equipped with box spring beds and furnished with a fine sense of detail. We also offer two accessibly designed rooms with barrier-free access.

Rooms in the historical building Elegant authenticity
Hues and fabric materials of the rooms in the historical building are predominantly in elegant grey and beige tones. Satin and linen meet real oak planks. These have a brushed and whitewashed surface providing for a subtle country-style look. The wood furniture in light colours are equipped with modern leather and chrome elements. Also the rooms feature attractive lounge armchairs of antique leather. The bathrooms feature wash stands of recyceld wood and marble in vintage look. The floors are tiled in Italian design tiles marble look.

Rooms in the new building Well-lit and spacious
Our rooms in the new building offer lots of space to live and to take a rest. The light grey and beige hues of floors and walls create an airy atmosphere.
The large windows provide for light-flooded rooms, and the daylight emphasises the combination of classy linen fabric in maritime stripe design and the natural elements of the furniture. And the atmosphere is completed by modern chrome applications, knitted carpets and furnishing details of leather. In the bathrooms you will find large wood look tiles and elegant white wash stands.
No mass production Individually manufactured
All furniture has exclusively been designed and manufactured in small batches for our hotel. The light colours and natural materials of the furnishing reflect the maritime character and the historical charm of the hotel.

Room category "Barque" Plenty of space to relax and feel at home
The rooms, between 30 and 40 m² in size, are located in our annex building and are situated on the side facing the harbour. Some rooms have an additional sofa bed for a child and a balcony. In addition, six rooms in this category can be combined to form three family rooms using a connecting door.

Room category "Frigate" Room with a view of the harbour
The rooms of the Frigate category have a size of between 25 and 40 m². They offer a direct view of the harbour.

Room category "Billet" Apartments with kitchenette
The rooms of the Billet category feature a kitchenette and may be used by two to four persons. The size ranges between 40 and 70 m² and all rooms have a view of the courtyard garden.
Living room and bedroom areas of the apartment-like Billets are separated. They are also available for extended stays (three weeks or longer).

Our absolute highlight above the rooftops of Flensburg. The 103 m² large Kaysers Suite stretches across a complete storey and offers a unique view — both of the harbour and the courtyard garden.
The light-flooded suite with large windows offers separate living room and bedroom areas and a kitchenette. This truly unique location has an exceptional inspiring atmosphere which also adds the adequate special touch to conferences.

Restaurant and bar Savour meets atmosphere
Our restaurant “Columbus” and the other catering areas are full of history. You will find various elements that date back to the origins of the hotel. For example, there are antique golden mirrors between the large arched windows towards the flensburg fjord.
The furnishing is composed of comfortable upholstered leather benches and different types of chairs, and the combination with other elements and a variety of design details featuring natural materials create a wonderful atmosphere for you to enjoy. For our little guests we have a special kids menu with tasty dishes.
